Some goodies now on the Camaro
When I bought my Camaro used back in 2001, it came with no options whatsoever. Manual seats, manual mirrors, manual windows, no rear window defogger.... and so on. I got around to installing a leather steering wheel a couple of years ago, but never found a shift **** for my A/T that matched. I always drove around with the leather wheel and rubber shift ****. I finally found a shift **** at a great price, so I put that on today to make things match and spruce up the interior some.

I also found all the items necessary to swap out the manual tracks on my driver's seat to the more desirable power items. My seats are kind of rare, so I didn't want to just buy some power seats from another car and throw them in there. I wanted to preserve the red/graphite combo option. So, I spent the rest of today cleaning up the power seat tracks, painting the plastic cover for the switches (it was tan and I had some black paint for plastic items), and exchanged the brackets on my seat, plugged it in to the harness, and added the necessary 30-amp fuse.

I know it doesn't look like much since most interiors already have these things, but it "made my day" to finally have them on my car. These tracks needed some cleaning and had some slight surface rust. I cleaned most of it up but it's still noticeable, so I'll probably remove the seat again at a later date and take care of that. My old manual tracks look brand new, so I want these to kind of appear the same. As much as possible, anyways. I hope to add some more upgraded factory options to the car when time and money permit. We'll see.
So, I just I'd share with everyone what I did today in between the rain storms.

Looks good, I like the red & graphite seats. I have black leather in mine & the car is sebring silver. I was thinking of having the center inlays re-done in graphite leather to have that 2-tone look. Maybe even leather door inserts done in black & graphite to match.
Thanks, gang. I have yet to drive it and get the seating where I like it. Hopefully I'll get that done today after I wash it.
I bet a two-tone leather interior would look nice in a sebring silver car. Especially if it's along the lines of graphite like you mentioned.
