Default Rear Window Tint- Dot Matrix Appearance

So I had my windows tinted a couple of months ago on my 2000 Z. They look great except for the upper portion of the rear window where the dot matrix is below the solid black area. The tint cured just fine everywhere but the upper dot area looks crappy up close. Has anyone else had this issue??

The car looks excellent inside & out minus this small flaw. I seriously have to do something about it & think that a complete re-tint might yield the same result. I honestly have considered removing the tint from the dot matrix top black border down to the top defrost grid line. Plan to trim out with a sharp razor using this as an outline.

What should I do?? It is driving me crazy as I want a clean look.

Thanks,

Default Dot Matrix Solution

The best way that I have found is cutting the film to the defrost line, then using that piece as a template, cut black vinyl, stick it on the inside, the vinyl will get between the dots, giving you a flawless look!
