I was wondering how hard it is to strip and tint windows. I know someone that says they've done it, and it isnt that hard, but I was curious what you guys though. If I were to do it, how hard would it be, and would it look good?

 

Tinting windows and making it look right is an art of its own and I respect anyone that can actually do it. It isnt easy.. Ive managed to do the windows in my bug with only a few bubbles and it doesnt look bad, but for a professional look, youd really have to go to a professional.

 

yeah, after I posted this I read that it really isn't very easy, and its better to just take it to a professional.. not bad though, it will cost me about $75 to get them tinted.. more like $220 for the hatch too though..

 

Any suggestions on what % to get? I was thinking 5 or so.. anything bad about it?

 

It depends on the laws where you live.. Here in the great state of Virginia, youre barely allowed to have any tint on your car.. I have 5 on my bug and have gotten three tickets for it in the past four months.. Check the local laws before, or even ask the tinting place, theyll know.
