9 lights indeed but you don't need to change the bright indicator or the turn signals. The bright indicator will literally BLIND you. It's THAT bright. Just leave the normal halogen 194 in there. Same with the turn signals. Waste to change them as they'll just blind you and burn out quickly with all the on and off relays.

Changing the odometer will also practically blind you and as Stan said, it's quite tacky until you get some blue film to dim it down and at that point you should just use the normal halogens with it as well so that it isn't TOO bright.

might be a dumb question, but where would you get another piece of film, like if you want to change the color?
btw thanks for posting this how to, i plan to make some changes to my gauges in the future, and will probably use LEDs now too.

I ended up putting the old piece back in. As for where you would get a different color, I am not sure. Maybe an arts and crafts type place.

I have red leds in my 96 and it has the blue flim.

i have taken almost everything apart. ive gotten to the gauges and they wont come out. i cant find any clips. What do i do?!?!?!

have you tried prying(gently) off the gauge outer?
