RE: 4th Gen Gauge Write up/ How to
Looks pretty good where did you get those LED's from? Are the white faces and trans am bezel next? Let me know how the trans am bezel install goes because I'm thinking about doing that too.

LEDs are from www.v-leds.com. I have the TA bezel here at home. I got the white faces from www.macewenmotorsports.com. Purchased the white faces for the gauges, A/C controls, headlight switch, and shifter overlay. This guy is very slow. Hasn't answered any emails, but called a week or so ago, and said they would be shipped soon. I need to call him this week. I will put up more pictures once I get them in.

Hey I got a Quick Prolly Already Answered Question, But I really Didn't' follow the Post to Well Because I've Never Really Messed With the Dash Lights Before, But anyway I have a 98 V6 and I have two lights out (Oil Pressure & Temp) and I figured why not change all of them when i take the dash apart and I was wondering can I just Change My white incandescent 194 bulbs to the Red Firebird 194's and everything come out red? cause i was reading the post and i saw something about colored filters behind the dash???

On the back of the Camaro gauges there is a blue film. I have white LEDs, and they have a bluish tint when they shine through the gauges. I would assume that red LEDs would shine through as a purplish hue. The incandescents on the Camaro and Firebird should be the same clear bulb. The Firebird has a red film behind the gauges.

1) First remove the trim around the gauges. (two 7mm screws at top)
2) Remove bolts holding gauge bezel. (four 7mm screws. Two at the top on each side, and two at the bottom on each side)
3) Pull gauges out (all that holds it in after the four screws is a plug at the back.)

That was all I had to do.

Fair warning for anybody who reads this. If you get straight blue LEDs, the red parts of your gauges will not light up very well because blue is on the opposite end of the color spectrum so there isn't much red, if any, in the blue bulbs. It's still visible though, just not a bright bright red (which you probably don't want if you are wanting blue gauges =P).
But I have talked to Stan and I'm gonna try and scan pics of my LED install on my gauges and post them here so we can elaborate and bring the post together a bit heh.
