Headliner removal

Headliner removal
Anyone ever removed the headliner in a 96 or 97 Camaro? I have one that is sagging and need to get fixed. Does all the rear panels have to be removed in order to get this thing out?

I was going to take mine out today, but I ran out of time and energy. But I did take a look at it. I have a 98 though, but I don't think there would be much difference. It looked like the middle button, the sun visors, the seat belts, and the trim that the t-tops latch into should be taken off/loosened. I think you might be able to get away with not removing the rear panels, but it wouldn't hurt to maybe loosen them, too. I already had the trim and the sail panels out and I started tugging on it and it looked like it would just pop off with all the other stuff removed.

OK here is a quick and dirty write up on this.
1: remove the a piller
2: remove the b piller
3: remove the dome light and the push in body pin that is under it.
4: remove the plastic hold in peices from around the seat belts
5: the seat belts will slide out of the cut in the headliner
6: the headliner is held inplace by some of that famous GM velcro so give it a little tug and it will fall.
7: Remove through back hatch.
Be VERY careful this thing is fragile.
there ya go hope it helps
Like I said quick and dirty but it should do what you need.
