When I bought my 96 the dash pad was cracked as hell so I purchased a new OEM from GM parts direct Well, that one is also cracked now and the replacement is now wayyyy more than the price I paid last time. this place has had some good prices for dash pads. currently out of the 93-97 though

I have not tried this, while I was w/out dashpad in a previous 4th gen, I just laid the material dash mat cover and I was fine until I found one on clist, just keep eye out for someone parting a car u can still find un broken ones

 

It appears the cheaper ones on that page are identical to the ones on the link I provided but I'm not sure. I see they are out OE just like the site I use GM Parts Direct...

 

probly from same factory in china...

 

I would skip the cover and try to find one local or in the classifieds
