Default replacement dashboard?

of course, mine is cracked, splintered, and barely holding on. i also have to replace the speakers up there, so i figured i can do both at the same time. is it difficult to remove the dash board? also, where can i get a new one at?

Are you wanting the whole dash, or just the dash pad

Its really not that hard at all. Theres like 7 or 8 screws on the bottom of the front lip that come out and it just slides off. Ebay has them for like $65 to $80 but you may be able to find one cheaper at a junkyard.

You sure about that? I could have sworn it was 8 screws, and half were on the back lip, and the other half in the defogger vent. For the speakers, I wou;d suggest that you get a stubby screwdriver if you don't have one already I can't remember if they're slotted or phillips.

No need to be sorry, I haven't pulled one in about 3 years, but I had to take it off like 4 times and replace it twice in about a month. (Don't ask, you probably don't wanna know.

the manual shows a lot more screws, but numbers arent important. theres no hidden screws or ones you can only spin a tiny bit at a time?

Don't think so. Use a magnetic screwdriver, if you've got a magnetic screwdriver, use it on the top screws. Dropping them SUCKS. Trust me, I know.

Oh yes, magnetic pickups are a mechanics best friend, and you'll hate yourself for not having one when you get used to using them. I was putting a condenser in an S-10 a couple weeks ago, and had everything in place, I was just putting the fan shroud together, and Id be done. I accidentally knocked a 3" extension down into the grill through the hood safety catch hole. I didn't have a pickup, and ended up having to pull the condenser again to get the damn thing. Never let yourself go through that. Ever.
