Arrow 1998 to 1996 interior full swap.

Hey There folks!

Camaro newbie from Estonia here.
Bought a z28 recently which is in good technical shape (except few minor leaks) but have some problems with an interior:
- seats are torn
- upper dash panel is cracked
- ceiling is bad
- armrest opens, but when You open it - it stays in your hands
- stereo works badly in matter of audio quality, also front speakers sometimes go silent.
- someone tried to hold power window switches in door panels using self-tapping screws, that looks nasty
- driver's seat belt doesn't buckle up most of the times
- the car used to have a remote control for a door locks but all remotes lost, central lock buttons also missing
- previous owners were smokers so interior also smells badly.
- Only one key so If i lost it - I'll get problems

Considering all these problems I decided to buy a donor car and swap an interior to my z28 because trying to fix it and buying missing parts from e-bay will be pretty much the same as buying a donor car
Because I'm from Estonia, there are not many options to buy a camaro as a donor, Most of camaros for sale are restyled models, starting from 1998 model year which I see differs a bit from my 1996 z28 so before taking any further actions I'd like to ask a few questions to You guys.
I've been searching this forum for similar topics but I see that most of guys here just swapped seats and some interior panels instead of full interior swap. By full swap I mean swapping everything from a donor to my z28: all wirings, electronic modules, instrument panel etc.
I understand that swapping seats, door panels and etc is quite a bolt-on procedure but what about electronics, instrument panel, heater and so on?
Will BCM from 1998+ vehicle fit my 1996? Should I reprogram it?
What about remote controls? How central locking system is organised in camaros and are there any differences between 96 and 98 camaros?
Instrument panel. I think that I will have to change wirings so new inst. panel could work. Are there any schematics online?

Waiting for any comments, suggestions and advises from You guys.

Thank You.

I think you're good swapping out the door panels, console, seats, carpet, etc.

The dash and gauge cluster might be a problem though. I know the 1993-1997 cars were all OBD 1, and the 1998-2002 cars are OBD 2. Not sure you'll be able to use the gauge cluster from it.

Thanks, but according to shbox.com website OBDII should be installed on 1996-97 LT1 F-body but I'm definitely gonna check that before taking any actions. I also saw a lot of pre-restyled 4 gens with restyled dash installed. It might be a problem to install it but that is why created this topic: to ask guys here who might done this about possible problems which can occur during the swap. About gauge cluster. I saw a thread somwere here that I can actually leava my old cluster and it will fit restyled dash and I'm thinkging of leaving my gauges now.

The 97's had the 98-02 dash in them. Not sure about the rest of the interior. Mine is a true 30th Anniversary Z28. Hugger and Arctic White.
