^^ agree with you on that one. i sled quite a bit, and i don't mind a nice two stroke sled winding up over 9K, but when a fart can equipped civic goes buzzing by in the middle of summer, it's all i can do not run them off the road...

Let me tell you, if you hear a well tuned RB20DET with a big turbo...the sound is NOTHING like a riced out civic. And the six cylinder RB26DETT when worked is downright scary sounding. More like an f16 lighting the afterburners. The 6 cylinder motors can take ~600hp with stock internals, and over 1,000hp with all forged stuff inside. And that is on 2.6 litres. There is a reason the donor car (Skyline GTR) was nicknamed Godzilla.

The US always got an emasculated version of the 240sx. This car is know as a Silvia in Japan, and is pretty much their equivalent to a Camaro, very similar in size, styling and power to weight...just a 4cyl 200hp+ turbo motor (US version had N/A small truck motor), instead of a V8.

you heard me say civic right? that being the most common ricer. i don't have a problem with well built cars that have work put into them. I am first an american muscle car guy, but i do appreciate it when engineers put time and effort into a car. if a car sounds anything like a formula setup, then it's a good sound in my books. never heard that F-16 effect but i will take your word for it.

exactly, as Skyline said, couldnt of been stock, had to been maybe a stock rb25 or rb26 skyline motor, who knows...i used to have a 93 240sx and there was no way it could beat the camaro just being stock but with some money put into it, sure....

Apparently you have never been next to an F16 when it takes off with the afterburners lit. lol

And they were good to almost 450 whp on stock internals. Really u need to just learn to drive/launch better or quit street racing and practice at a track
nothing is bullet-proof.

and OP, i'd put an end to the street racing if i were you.

btw, he could have been running a fully forged SR20DET with a big turbo. turbo lag is a *****.

As for the street racing... it is legal is it's at a time trial type deal here on a local street. You can actually watch it on youtube. Anyways, yeah the dude's lying out his *** and in the video you can see me spinning out through third gear, I'm passed because I have NO TRACTION

Yup i see they had the street cordoned right off for you guys...time trial type deal? What? Go to the track, or lose the right to drive, or worse injure someone that is valuable to someone else.
