Wtf hurst?!?
so i installed the hurst billet plus shifter today, and its totally rediculous. my stock shifter had 3 rubber boots and 1 leather boot. the hurst has 1 rubber boot....period. and NONE of the stock boots mate up w/ the new shifter. and where it comes thru the tranny hump there is a huge rectangular hole where one of the old stock boots use to bolt up. the only solution to this problem that i see is to take the old one and cut a big hole in it and slip it over the hurst one. AND THEN...*deep breath*...the old leather boot would have to be hacked up and re-done to fit over the new stick. unless there is an after market boot out there, which i havnt found one yet. hurst sure as **** doesnt make one. they only make universal ones but i highly doubt they will work. and where the old leather boot snapps onto the center console there are these tabs just chillin there...it looks horrible. so basically it has to have a stock style boot ring to go there.
and before some1 says it YES i have searched this forum and a few others and havnt found anything on this. but it is also quite possible that i am completely retarded OR i am missing a piece of the puzzle as the box had deffinately been opened before.

ive got a pro 5.0 in mine. fit just fine... in fact it was better because the stock fitment of the boot didnt reach to the top of the **** like it should. shortening it and using the stock boot made everything work lol. the boot is a part of the console, so what exactly are you trying to mate it up to on your shifter? as long as the shifter lever fits through the hole it will mate back up to the interior panels it did when it was stock.....

my B&M ripper fit just fine also, no mods to anything needed. I would say send it back and get something else, I know that would suck, but why hack up everything just for a shifter, when there's others that you wouldn't have to.

ok well i fixed it. it was like i said, i had to cut a little bit of the lower rubber boot off. once i figured it out it took like five minutes to fix. the only PITA was removing the center console but thats a given. so for future refence hurst billet plus shifters aren't a direct fit. it DOES take a little snipping to make it fit.

Even though you fixed it, I still want to share this link- http://www.redlinegoods.com/Camaro9802shiftboot.shtm I haven't ordered from them yet but it looks like good quality stuff.
