my z28 was running just fine. I put it in the carport and Jack the front end up, which was pretty high in the air, drop the pan for the tranny replace the filter and the pan build it back up with transmission fluid then set it back down off the jack. I went to start it and now it won't start. it turns over just fine, I sprayed starter fluid in to make sure it was getting fuel and it just cranks over and cranks over but will not fire off. jacked it back up pulled the pan filter again make sure I didn't accidentally pull a wire or a plugon the inside of the tranny. Replace the pan in fluid and tried it again with same results. is there some sort of reset swped because the front end was up prettytripped because the front end was up pretty high or any ideas why it just wont start. I even disconnected the battery to reset the brain I think and that didn't work. this is got me really confused and I hope its something simple but I need help. Thanks p.s it's an automatic transmission

no there is no security system I can find on it. I agree that I'm not getting any spark but why would just jacking it up and changing the fluid cause something to happen. like I said I drove it into the carport was running just fine and all I did was jack it up change the filter and set it down. it doesn't make any sense to me, I've change tranny fluids many time and it's not brain surgery.why would it all of a sudden this art other than the fact the front end with really high up in air

why would it loose park from just jacking it up and changing the trans fluid.is there some kind of module or something that sets the spark off if the car gets out of whack from an accident or something to that effect that cuts the spark. that's the only thing I can think of because I had the front end up very high when I change the fluid. it's got me totally confused

thank you for your help, I did check the fuses, and the fuse and relay panel under the hood had a blown fuse which I replaced and it fired right off. don't know what I could have done that would have made it short out, but I will just knock on wood that it's good to go now. again thank you for your thoughts and help. I'm sure you'll be hearing from me again.something like why did my tire go flat, lol.
