Default Wobbly steering wheel?

Hey guys. When I pull down on my steering wheel, it pulls down and goes to the left. It does this every time I pull down on it, and it gets pretty annoying. Is this a common problem? Im hoping for an easy fix.

Yes it's a common problem on a lot of GM cars, it's a couple screws in the column that loosen up. You need to take apart the column and hit them with some loctite

It is a common problem. A buddy has it so bad that if he turns the key back for only the stereo and pulls on the steering wheel the key will go to off.

I drive with one hand at the top of the wheel most of the time. Just resting my hand on the wheel pulls it down.

Thanks for the bump and info craby. I'll dig into it soon and post my results if no one else has any idea.

Here's a video so you get an idea. Don't mind how dusty the car is, or my neighbors strange music. lol

Oh, that's worse than it sounded. I have one that moves some like that, but you gotta really yank down on it. It's not bothering me yet. These columns seem to suffer from years of heavy drivers using the steering wheel as a crane lift.
