Default windshield whipers broken?

got new whipers worked fine for first couple of days then snow storm came and all of a sudden the timing on both of them was seperate like one went up the other went down. today it started raining so i turned em on same stuff took them off still the same and noticed that i can move the left one freely should i be able to do this? i deffientely cant with the right one when i try moving that whiper up the left one does a little. is there like some type of motor for the arms to move that i might need to replace?

Sounds like you will have to replace the windeshield motor assembly. I had a "parking switch relay" broken in mine, so instead of going down when i turned them off, they'd come up right and just stand there. Cost me a little over $100 for the parts and another $100 for the labor since I decided to have them do it at a shop.
