Default Windows are slow going up and coming down

I realize that the mechanicals of the power windows are 21 years old and that things tend to wear out over time. To help them regain their former glory I've been thinking about re-lubricating the mechanisms.

Here in the desert southwest, I would tend to shy away from oil and WD-40 because of the dust factor. What would you all recommend? Silicone spray, maybe? Anything else that might work?

Thanks!
