Like I said I just purchased a 96 Z convertable and whoever had it before me thought that no muffler was the way to go!~ It dont sound all that bad but I want a cleaner sound rather than a rust bucket sound! For now I am going to get something simple until I buy a full exhaust! My friend works at a shop and said for 25 bucks He will put on a bran newmuffler that his shop carries. My choices are Borla, flowmaster, magnaflow or cherry bomb lol. On all my mustangs I had flowmasters 40 series but I am not sure what type I will get for 25 bucks?? Anyway any suggestions on wich one to go with for now?? I am looking for a good clean sound but raors when floared?

Id go with the borlas if you got the money to spend on them. Or go with the old trusty flowmasters if your ina bind. Magna flows sound good too.

 

pffft...no muffler is the way to go! Put some resonator tips on there to quiet it down just a bit and you'll be good to go. If you actually want a muffler, Borla will be your best choice.

Yea I was leaning towards borla. I figure worst come to worst its only temp unless I really like it ??I have heard some cars sound good with no mufflers butI dont think mine is one lol!! Or atleast a lowered convertable??
