What's that squeaking noise from the rear?

Default What's that squeaking noise from the rear?

ok i have this squeaking noise coming from the back of my car ( 95 Z) , everytime i go over a small bump, i just parked my car and went to the back of it and pushed down on it ( both sides) and sure enough it squeaks !!! is this my shocks? do i have shocks or coil springs ? not sure !, any ideas would be great , and what am i looking at for cost here !!! thanks guys...

you have shocks and coil springs.i would suspect the shocks, also have a panhard bar and control arms that have bushings that can squeak.

ok i just showed it to this mechanic and he told me i needed sway bar bushings, i called arround and found a set made by Moog, so i got them, hope this solves the problem when i get them installed, thanks.

I think I have the same squeak issue, did the sway bar bushings solve the problem?

I have some nagging sound comming from the passenger's side of my car... Oh wait that is the wife NVM..

why don't we have a rep button in this forum??

now, to the squeakers; a can of spray silicon lube is your friend. Spray some on and if Mr Squeak goes away then you found the culprit. It doesn't cure bad bushings but it pinpoints the squeak and perhaps might be all they needed.
