what gear to go with
i have a 1998 z28 camaro is a ls1 engine with twin turbos in it i'm putting a strange rear end in it and not sure what gear to go with. the car has a 342 in it now. the car runs on 10lbs of boost

its best to go with a lower gear like 2.73s.That way you will stay in gear longer, which enables you to build boost better.If you kept 3.42 or even went to a higher gear you would shift faster not allowing you to build boost as well as you could with a lower gear.

Yes.One of my friends in town has a 2000 SS Camaro and it is turbo'd and it has 2.73 gear, runs low 10s.However this is on a single turbo car so im sure your results will be different.Also the car is a 3 speed auto, and i know yours is manual, so you may want 2.73s or like a 3.0x.

A lot depends on your set up. What kind of enigne are your running, whats your valve train like, What kind of stall, tires, transmission, etc.
Some times bigger gears are not better. Like alih was saying. 3.42s work very good all the way around for turbo guys.
