94-96 z28 lt1 you can find thoughs cars for cheap and there nice i got my 96 z28 for 4k and it was fromthe origanal owner

 

well 4th gens r great to buy, u can get a decent z28 or ss with that 10gs but if u want bigger enngines, i believe that the 3rd gens r the way to go with the bigger engines

 

3rd gens had 305s...

4ths had 350s and 347s...

what do you mean bigger?

like horsepower? 3rds put out less than 225 at their crank

4ths put out 330 to the wheels...

3rd gens had 350s too. not all of em were 5.0Ls. Honestly the 4th gen is a great car, nice n fast but they are depriciating while 3rd gens are starting to appriciate in price.

 

wait.. wtf are you talking about... no 4th gen camaro puts 330 to the wheels stock... the LT1s put like 260 stock and LS1s put like 285 to the rear.

even though some dude said he got like 320 at the wheels on a stock SS (whether that was true or not idk)

 

he could find an ls1 for 7-8k with a little looking. and ive only spent 2k in engine mods on my car, and there are cheaper ways than I went for it. also, stop saying things cost more for the ls1. each time you post that i come in with link after link of aftermarket parts which are identical, and in some cases MORE expensive for the lt1. for all intents and purposes they cost the same to modify

I made 333rwhp with a lid and catback.

Most LS1's make 300rhp stock. most lt1's do not make 260rwhp stock, more like 240ish maybe 250 with a team of hampsters running on the dyno drums to help out.the LT1 was not underrated by any appreciable means. any deviations can be chalked up to error ~5-10hp either way

 

spectre/ar/or[8D], where do you buy parts from? kuz summit has the same parts like cams/pistons that are cheaper for the LT1 and more expensive for the LS1. Plus if your not installing the item yourself labor will get you. Ive looked it up on Mitchell OnDemand5(an informationsource we use in the shop)usually the labor time for replacing some parts is more costly on an LS1 than an LT1.

Also im not talking about any little bolt ons im talking stock. they dont make 330 to the rear stock, thats the Z28/Trans Am/Formula. Not the WS6 or SS or Firehawk.
