Default What all needs to be done to go to the ls6 intake

I have a 1998 camaro z28. I wanna get rid of the ls1 intake manifold. But first what all needs to be done? I hear something about egr. I just wanna know what I need to buy here because I don't wanna run into bumps here. Also is this worth it? What's the power gains?

Thanks (:

Its a worthwhile upgrade,

you need the Coolant crossover tube kit, available on ebay right from GM for about 50 bucks, and the EGR gets deleted

Coolant Pipe GM Part # 12602544
2 Air bleed block off covers GM Part # 12602540

Thanks. I been doing some reading and they say on a pretty much stock ls1 car gains are 4-5hp? That is alot of money for 5hp. I only have lid and borla exhaust. I will be getting long tubes and a tune though. Worth it? Some people are saying 10-15hp. Others 4hp. Soooo.... lol

The LS6 intake really shines with a cam and spring upgrade from what I have been reading. It's on my grocery list of mods as well.

LS6 intake and the lid and exhaust with a good base tune you will notice a difference. throw on some KOOKS long tubes (get them USED save alot of money) and you'll be good. after that, gears..cam,..heads..however crazy you feel like going. if you want you can talk to the guy i used when i was upgrading my LS1 car..www.sickspeedperformance.com
