Upcoming race.
Well looking at 1/4 mile tests the 04'turbo non STi WRX ran from 14.4 to 14.7. I think they have gotten a bit quicker since then and with his mods he might be in the 13's. So your going to have to really be able to drive that LT1 to stand any chance.
one of my best buddies is a boobaru freak. and i actually went to a huge gathering last month. im not for imports at all but those things are tough. aWRX against a LT1 with those mods i doubt youll be able to do it. LS1 on the other hand youll have a much better chance. The STI is what you have to watch though, especially if its hooked up. you have torque advantage but he has AWD andin the long run the WRX will most likely come out. just wait and buy a 5th gen. camaro if you can. then go out and get em
Or a just add a good intake, heads, cam, some more fuel. Hey look your now runing low 13s and only spent a few grand not to bad. Whats that gears and slicks hey lets add some spray now look midto low12s not too bad since you only spent about 5grand. LOL thats a little bit cheaper than buying a fifth gen and theres no better filling that showing up some one with someting you built up yourself. And you own your car your self not some bank. Dont give up on that LT1 its a hell of a engine and with a little time and cash you will blow that WRX out of the water. I think the most a WRX can run with out swaping to the STI engine or doing a total rebuild is about 335-350. The LT1 can handle well over that on a stock bottom end and you will not burn clutches out every 10 weeks.
