i asked once what the different octanes did for u... my dad said its a scam to get gas companies money... lol but i always just thought it was grade of gas... and i run mine on 87 everyday and nothing seams different... i figured the only real fuel that would harm the car is diesel or now e85... make sure u grab the right nozzle... haha

How do we really know if we are getting 93 octane. What if they fill the gas station tanks with 87 octane. You pay for 93 octane and actually get 87 octane.

Humor me, put a tank of 93 in ( we get ripped in Canada with only 92) and you will feel a difference.

Carguy, the octane rating of premium varies around the country (er...countries). Here in Colorado we only have 91 octane, but it can have a lower octane rating due to the higher altitude. If you're almost at sea level then yes, I'd say you're getting screwed...

most psychotherapy drugs that actually make it to market are only a few % more effective than placebo ie lexapro works just as well as fiber pills.

if you want to do this right get 2 identical cars and have a buddy fill one up with low grade, and one with high. have 5 people drive them both without knowing which is whichand say which one they think is faster.
if you go in expecting it to have more kick you will more than likely trick yourself into feeling it even if its not there.

Yes, Im in the prairies, the highest altitude is about 1000 above.

Specter,

I agree, but as you stated, your tuned for 93 if I borrowed your car and put 87 in it, you'd prob know the difference...
