Trunk speakers...why do some cars not have them

In my dad 02 ta he has 6 speakers and the 2 in the back seat are subs.. so idk

could be a few problems. if they are running it through the stock amp the amp may be bad, or the speakers are blown. if they rewired the factory amp behind the spare tire then they may have not connected all of the speakers because of possibly overloading the deck. after-market decks are not made to run at a 2ohm load and the factory middle speakers are actually dedicated woofers, and are 2ohm.
