Default Transmission not Coming Apart from Engine

Hi, i am a new member here. I have 95 Z28 with a 6 speed. I am trying to drop the transmission and for some reason the clutch fork is holding it up. Is there a special method to droping the transmission? Everytime i lift and pull back on it, the clutch fork get tight against the bell housing. Its about 3/4" out already. I read somewhere that there is a method, but it was very vague and i can't remember where is saw it. Any help would be appreciated.

you need to unbolt the clutch for, 13mm i think, right where it pivots in the trans.
