yup just replace the mount its really easy to do with just some basic hand tools and a jack
jack up car and support with stands
unbolt the 15mm nut holding the mount to the cross member
then jack up the trans an inch
unbolt the 4 15mm bolts for the cross member
and unbolt the 2 mount bolts 18mm i believe
bolt on the new mount
bolt the cross member back up
let the trans down
bolt down the 15mm nut
and your done shouldnt take more than 30 min

^ Except for the unbolt the crossmember part. I replaced the mount on my old 4th gen twice (first a stock rubber one, then a poly), and didn't need to drop or lower the crossmember at all.

Thanks guys. After I posted the question, a buddy and I crawled under it and that's what we suspect as well. The guy I bought it off of says he put a new transmission mount on it, but I'm thinking that's not the case.
