What kind of transmission is in a 99 camaro 3.8L? Also is it a good quality transmission? I have about 120,000 miles on it and it pops out of second gear sometimes when I get on it is this normal or is it about to fall apart? Need some answers. Thanks.

 

i believe they made three different tranies for that yr, a manual 5sp, a manual 6sp and a 4l60e auto.

If manual, worn out shifter bushings can cause it to jump out of gear.
