Default Throttle Body?

hey, ive got a 1995 3.4l v6. I want to get a larger throttle body but i cant find any. I was wondering if a throttle body from an LT1 would fit on my engine?

to answer your question, yes and no.

Yes it will if there is an adaptor made to mate the LT1 TB to the 3.4 intake.
and No it will not bolt on directly.

Is the reason that you want a bigger throttle body is because you believe it will increase your power?

if that is the reason, save your money and time.

To Massey- Thank for the info. Do you know where i could find an adaptor?

To Torque is good- Will the power gain not be very noticable witha larger TB? My friend has GT and he said it had a noticeable gain.

make friends with a fabricator that can build you one. No one makes this unit aftermarket.

Yes with a GT, a car with a V8 that has a restrictive TB will see gains in putting a larger TB in place. You have an engine that is not known for its power, one that is not modded for power in the after market. To see any gains from your engine you need to do alot more than just add a larger throttle body. FTV6 forums have some threads there that can help you if you are bent in making the 3.4 more powerful.

The 3.4L engine is a decent engine for cruising, will run 200K + miles if taken care of, but will not generate massive tire burning HP like the LT1 and LS1 engines do.

is it a new edge, sn95 or fox? If so then yes, a throttle body got him like 3-5 top end hp at most but nothing noticable in the usable street rpm range. If it's a s197 stang 2005-2011 then the throttle body yielded him absolutely nothing.

I'm not trying to rain on your parade; I just don't want you to spend $$ thinking you'll get gains
