throttle body

RE: throttle body
you can get more air through, but when you get a bigger one than stock you must get it ported to match, i would get a bigger throttle body as one of the last upgrades, if your car is still stock i would start with the exhaust and work my way up

RE: throttle body
The stock TB can support up to around 400 HP. By using a larger one there won't be much of a power increase because the engine is already getting all the air it can use. When you mod the engine to where it wants to get more air than the stock TB can provide, a bigger TB will give a boost in power. Otherwise, a bigger TB will seem to give better part throttle response because with the same amount of pedal travel, the larger TB will admit more air.

RE: throttle body
Here is some simple rules
You can gain power by increasing volumetric effiency of the engine, more inlet into the engine allows you to increase fuel supply, increasing the flow of exhaust out of the engine the more robust the performance.
So if you are cramming a large bore T.B. on the car you will have to increase, combustion gases out of the engine (exhaust work), fuel supply by changing the regulator and fuel pump. Etc.
