Default Is there a difference in headers?

I looking for headers for my 2000 z28 I found pacesetters to be really cheap, does it make a big difference of performance by the different brands if i got hooker headers would they be better?

Ive heard alot of talk about dynamax or w/e over pacesetter.. but its all about how much you have to spend.

It shouldn't make a huge difference. Hooker headers (as well as some other brands) are usually tuned (the header tubes are shaped and arranged for best flow) for the specific application whereas some of the cheaper brands aren't. Unless you intend on really building up your engine it shouldn't make a big difference.

i did pacesetters, and for a street car I think they are the best. the ls1 pacesetters fit great, and made awesome power, and I got them coated with a ypipe for 500, which is half the price of some of the other headers alone

It does matter. You may see small increases in power. Butthe quality can be huge. The coating and long lasting abilty of the product can pay for its self.
