Default Tail lights have a mind of their own!

Whenever I start my drive to work in the morning, my left turn signal(rear) and brake light never work, I've changed the bulbs and the housing and it doesn't do anything. I don't get it. But the weirdest thingis that by times go home from work later in the evening they come on! I can see them working in reflections of signs I pass since it gets darker outside. What the heck is going on?

I would think it was a brake in the wire some where. Turn them on and ask a friend to stand behind the car and watch the lights as you move the wires around. Start at one end and work your way to the other. Easiest way to find something like that.

I checked the grounds in the back, they're perfectly fine. Any other ideas?

check the light socket, they can get brittle or damaged. when its failing check the power to the socket to see if its getting there but not to the bulb. need to find where its failing so gona have to do some tracking.
