Default tach issue here!

Hello I have a 3.8L Series 2 from a 2000 Camaro in my Mazda B2200 Truck.
What I am trying to do is get the tach to work with the new computer.

My factory Mazda tach works off a neg 400 Volt signal from a single coil and the 3.8 uses a much lower voltage from a multi coil set up.

Do any of you know what it will take to make my tack work?

Thanks ahead for any help with this.

It's not a voltage issue, you now have a mis-match in your number of ignition pulses that's needed to make the tach read correctly. Look into something like this, but I would contact them first even though they say it works with all types of ignitions: TACH-ADAPT
