t-56 transmission problem! Maybe the clutch

Default t-56 transmission problem! Maybe the clutch

I have a 99 ls1 camaro and today when i went to turn it on the clutch pedal stays down and it wont come back up ! all my gears are locked and i cant shift to any gear! any body have any ideas someone said that it migth be my clutch ! if so will a zo6 clutch installed new for 900 be too much? let me know please

sounds more like a master and/or slave cylinder. check the clutch fluid level and look to see if theres fluid leaking anywere around it or the driver side of the front part of the transmissionl. when a clutch goes its almost the opposite of what u have.

It a problem with the clutch system, not the clutch plates themselves. It sounds like the clutch isn't bled correctly so it's not disengaging the actual disk, thus the reason all your gears are locked. You either had a master/slave cylinder go bad or you're leaking fluid.

thanks guys it was actually the slave cylinder, i replaced the clutch while the transmission was out have a z06 clutch now
