Strut tower braces are a great addon for any car. They are cheap, easy to install and make a noticable difference. I would also look into Bilstein shocks; I have no direct experience with them, but Liberty posted up his and they sound quite nice. Swap out your sway bars for some one's off a SS Camaro or WS6 T/A. There are probably aftermarket panhard bars too for the V6 if you want to go all out. Could also get some subframe connectors welded in.

The guy asked how he could improve his suspension, which what does suspension deal with? Oh yeah, improving traction. A z rated tire is overkill on a v6, but he did ask how he could improve his suspension. Heck a Z rated tire on most V8's is overkill since most of the time it won't need that much traction. I don't think buffalo gave any wrong advise, he was just stating his opinion.. I had Corvette Rims and tires on my v6 with Z rated tires, and let me tell you I could def. feel a difference going around a corner compared to anything less. As for upgrading the suspension, for shocks, can't go wrong with KYB's or Bilsteins, just shop around til you find the ones that match what YOU want to do with YOUR car.

You know what, I had a nice long response all typed out. But honestly, it's not worth arguing with you. I will say though the only thing I would have agreed with you on is the sway bars.

I'm glad that we can agree on something. BTW I'm not the one who is trying to argue. Any who, back to the topic. I like FD's suggestion, the sway bars in the SS are big. 32mm in the front and 21mm in the back. These are bigger than the V6 sway bars that are at 30mm in the front and 15mm in the back. I found an Edelbrock kit that includes both sway bars and the rear is bigger at 25mm, all for $329.99 from Summit.

That actually doesn't seem too bad of a price for the sway bars. I know they're the next change on my sixxer when I get enough money to work on it. My next objective is to attack all of the suspension pieces, and sway bars are the first part.

Better check those facts:

My RS stock is 28mm front, 15mm rear
My SS stock is 32mm front, 19mm rear

I believe some 1LE option SS's got a bigger one in the rear.

When buying bars, also note if they are solid or hollow (weight reduction). The SS front bar is hollow.

My numbers are for a 2002 Camaro SS with the 1LE. I think your RS got the Z28 sway bars.
