did you get the spring isolators in when you changed the springs. could it be that someone did the hose mod and you dont have isolators.

 

it has the isolators. i was reading around and do you think getting thicker spring isolators might fix the problem?

 

That really doesn't make sense. You got the bumpstops in? Whats the measurement from the bumpstop to the bumpstop plate?

 

is there two sensor plugins on the rear end by the brakes? your car would have one in the middle. arrow isnt a two sensor rearend a different width? or is that only if you take the sensors off?

 

You talking about the ABS sensors? I don't know about the rear end lenght, but he's got a 95 so it only has one. If it doesn't have the spring absorbers then that would be a problem.

 

yes but he is put a 98 rearend in a 95. at least thats what i got out of it. i better go back and re read. lol

 

the whole drivetrain is out of a '98 and in a '95 that was a v6 automatic. i dont think i have bumpstops. yeah, i was wondering if the rearend would be bigger making it bottom out. but arent all the 4th gen bodies pretty much made the same.

 

They are all pretty much the same, Do you have like a huge speaker box or something in the truck with a lot of weight? That's about the only thing I can think of that would be causing this to happen to you. With just a little more weight in the back, those shocks you put in wouldn't be albe to handle the extra weight. I have a huge box in the back of mine and when I lowered my car I had to weld some 1" spacers onto the rear end spring perches to bring the rear end just higher than the front. How does the car set? Is the space from the tire to the top of the fender the same front and back or different?

 

Monroe shocks suck on Camaros -- put some on my old '95 3.4L -- not happy. Get SLP Bilsteins and you will be much happier, but only use them with the SLP Eibach lowering springs -- they are not meant for other variations and will fail sooner with others.

An adjustable Panhard bar or Watt's Link can be used for centering the rear.

Get bumpstops and perhaps a spacer if that would help your situation.

no, i dont have anything in the back. it bottoms out really bad even with just me in it. i wish i would have talked to someone about shocks before i bought mine because i dont want to go and buy new ones. there almost isnt any space between the tire and the outer rim of the fender in the back and about an inch in the front. it sits about 9.5 inches off the ground all the way around. yeah, i think im going to get the bumpstops, but wont the car still bottom out and just hit the bumpstops then. i'm also going to get some kind of spacer. it would bottom out some even with the old springs if i had a passanger and a full tank of gas, but mostly on the right side.
