Default Superchips Cortex and LS1 Edit?

Weird Question. I could find nothing on here, or searching the net. Back when my turbos and engine were complete, it was Dyno Tuned using LS1 Edit. This was back in 2000. It seems to be running a bit lean. 14.0-14.8 on the afr gauge. I also have a super chips cortex, that I bought for my suburban, and never used. It is also capable of tuning this car. 98 z28 ls1 twin turbo. My question is, can I use the Cortex over the top of the LS1 Edit, or will it wipe the tune? I have no copy of ls1 edit or the cables, and don't want to spend another $450 just for the software and cable, if I can use the cortex. I would also like to use the cortex for data logging, and other stuff. I just don't want to plug it in and wipe the program. Thanks all
