Default lt1 edit?

does anyone know how to use the lt1 edit program? my brother recently purchased a 94 trans am, and they gave him a disc with the program on it. his car has many mods, cam, valvetrain, headers, cai, electric water pump, blah blah blah. but the car is originaly from British Columbia, and i live on the other side of canada (quebec). to get to my point, my 95 camaro beats his, and i got headers, cai, underdrive pulley and no a/c. his t/a tends to almost bog out past 5000 rpms, we think cuz the ambiant pressure is not the same here. are we able to reprogram or flash his ecu with this program? help please!

i believe that you can that is what the program is for the only thing is that you need to be able to connect a computer to the car or the ecm to the computer

well wat i was told, was that i would somehow have to collect the data before and then compare... somehow from the oxygen sensor and that way i can see my air/fuel mixture and then play with that. but the car is not an OBDll and i might need a special cable, its just that i would not know wat i was looking at if i saw it all.

What whammer3024 said is very true. Also, keep in mind that you have the capability to destroy your engine if you’re not careful. That being said, you can go to the LT1 website (below) and that should answer your questions on what you need and how to get started. If you need to buy an interface cable, I recommend you use the link below unless you want to pay more money for the same thing. The rest of the links may help too. Good luck.
