Sudden oil pressure drop, now overheating??
So I am newer to the world of camaros, but a long time lover. I bought a 2000 v6 coupe several years ago at a steal of a price, but sadly the fuel pump went out shortly after. Recently replaced the pump, but almost immediately ended up with a pin hole in each hose running to & from, spraying coolant, but managed to do a temporary patch sealing on them. Went for a test drive today after adding fluids, hit about 50mph & my oil pressure dropped suddenly, engine cut out, slight tapping noise. Once restarted, engine is trying to overheat & only cranks/oil pressure only goes up when accelerated. Oil is full & new. Any advice? I'm a girl willing to invest & get my hands dirty, just needing a starting point to look at aside from Google/Yt & the sh*t mechanics in my rural area.
did you bleed the air out of the coolant system after refilling the radiator? no offense but just in case, you can not fill the radiator using the overflow tank, gotta pull the radiator cap, after everything cools of coarse. dont want to open it when its warmed up to operating temp or especially when overheating.
