does anyone know where i can get a replacement dipstick. i would like to get like the original one, i have a universal one right but im not sure how deep its going therefor i dont know how much oil i have right now and i dont want to be low then blow my engine like my brother. got any websites? ive tried junkyards but for some very odd reason the junkyards around me are telling me that they dont sell parts off of cars which doesnt make sense to me

Are you goin to the right junkyards? "Junkyards" dont selll parts off of cars. The yards where you walk in with your tools and take things off are called something else, all the ones around me are called u-pull it or u-wrench it, something like that. Otherwise a dealer would certainly have it.

Go to aGM dealer, dipsticks don't cost all that much, and it is not worthgoing all over the place looking for one.

will this work? i was told today that dealerships only car parts or can order parts for cars that are 7 years old.
or can a fellow long islander tell me a good junk yard around prefferbly in suffolk county
