Default Strut tower brace question

I was looking into getting a strut brace, but when I started looking, I noticed there's ones that are ls and lt specific and v6 specific, but no dimensions are given. They look the same, but is there really a difference? I've looked on ebay, summit, and spohn, but I can't find what the difference is between them other than the v6s being more expensive. Any insight to this? Are there differences in the engine clearance or something?

They all have to do with the height. The LT are the lowest and the V6 the highest to clear the alternator. The LT car has lower hood clearance than the LS car and the V6 has an alternator that sticks up too high.

Could be slightly different configurations due to the different intakes and possible clearance issues between the engines. Also, the V8s weigh more than the V6s so that is something the engineers need to take into account. They are probably using the standard photo in the catalogs just to save on media development costs.

Are you going to paint it hot pink? That would really pop under your hood.

I figured the height was the difference, but once again, I couldn't find any dimensions given, so I was a little confused as to exactly why they were different, but looked the same. And yes, I was considering painting it the pink enamel that I got from Baps to match my intake and valve covers. I don't really NEED a strut brace, but my car is tweaked and thought maybe it would help support and slightly un-tweak it. Plus, I like how they look. Thanks for the responses guys.

What do you mean "tweaked"? Did your car have some front end damage at one time? How far out is it? You may not be able to get one installed if you're racked.

If you don't know for sure, see if you can find another V6 and take some measurements for comparison.

I don't have a clue what's happened with the car. She's a complete mystery. If I can put it in less formal words, I'd beat the living sh*t out of the previous owner(s) if I could for abusing her so much. Certain things seems slightly off, but it's by fractions. I don't know any other v6s around that I could go up and measure. I bought one from Summit last night (it's on back order) so I'm going to test fit it when the engine is all put back together. If it's not going to work, it won't be a problem to just send it back.

should have just got on ebay,,, i payed 60 for mine had zero fitment issues and its just a bar, literally a hollow bar with brackets on the end, noi need to be designer,,,, and the lt is slightly taller then the LS, on lt cars the hood is lower so they have a tight fit so the right one is very important.... you could use one for an LS and you shouldnt have any issue, ive seen people do it

Hm I wasn't sure of the clearance though. V8s and v6s are set up differently. The ones offered on ebay for v6s didn't have a return policy.
