Are there any other GM vehicles that can be directly swapped (barring a few wire differences) into the early 4th gens? For instance, my 02 Z06 has the same stereo as a late 5th gen.... will one of those work in my 93? They look to be the same dimensions.... Im not interested in any high performance stereo components, just would like to have the CD working again. I figure if a late model GM unit will fit, then its a win win!

 

Any headunit from a 4th gen should work, including Firebirds, though there might need to be some changes made depending on whether you have the Monsoon system, or Bose if your car is of the earlier years.

 

Mines a BOSE. 1993 So I just need a Bose unit from say a 2002?
