I've got a WS6 with the Monsoon sound system. I bought the car with an amp running to all the speakers and a subwoofer. Whenever a heavy base note hits I get this popping sound in the speakers. I didn't know if simply upgrading to a better speaker would solve the problem or not. Didn't know if anything else could be the cause. I'm also looking to start a new project soon and not sure if I want it to be my T/A or something else. If I do go with my T/A I'd like to find a wrecked Corvette or GTO for a donor engine. I just was wondering if anybody thought I'd be able to get a deal after I parted out the wrecked car or if I should just get a crate motor. Ideally I'd like to find an LS9 but I am realistic and may have to settle for an LS2. If anybody has any good sites to check for cars like that I'd appreaciate if you'd pass them along. The ones I've searched so far have been less than impressive.
