starting problems

Question starting problems

Hey i am new here, i hyave a 2000 ss that has a crank but no start problem. I have checked codes! none, fuel pressure is 58 at key on. will start once in about every 100 tries thyen runs good till you turn it off then no start again? could I get a little help if any one has experinced this or may be point me in another direction? HELP!

Have you checked for spark when it fails to start?

there is no spark when it does not start

need to find out if the coils are getting power to them. i would say the key may be wearing or ign switch but seems like the vats would show a security light so check the ignition switch. could be the bcm acting up.

I doubt the problem would be with the VATS, since his engine cranks. The security system disables the start function if it's not working correctly.
