Default Starting issue

Last night when I got off work, i went out to come home and my car wouldn't start. When i turned the key on the ignition lights would turn on, and the cabin light would turn on when i opened the door. But the battery didnt have enough juice to turn the car over. I looked and made sure that i didnt leave the lights on or anything like that. It's never done this before. We also got a hell of a storm last night. But when i popped the hood, everything was dry as can be. so I dont think that water zapped the battery. FYI the battery was charged to about 7 volts, median is 13. Any ideas whats wrong with her (aside from the battery being garbage?) heading to moron zone now to get it checked. Thanks guys

Check battery, check your connections make sure their clean. If it's still not starting pull the starter off and have autozone/napa/some car place check it.

Are you getting 7 Volts when trying to crank the engine, or when there is no load on the battery?

Problem solved. Guess a cell was dead in the battery. Got a new one and now it starts like a charm.
