SS hood

Default SS hood

So, im... coming into possesion of an original ss hood, i want to know is it going to bolt straight up or will i have to modify it any, any year to year problems?

As with any new body part things may not line up right. Also remember you are going to need the hood supports from the SS. The steel supports are too strong and will eventually cause the hood to break in half when you close it. That is about all I can think of.

Oh crap, im just getting a straight hood, will it be okay for a while?

I would look into getting the shocks from the autopart store before you put the hood on then. THere is a HUGE difference in the weight of the hood. I can carry the SS hood with one hand easy and manage it just fine, not so much with the steel hood.
