Well....the car didn't come from the factory with rust and chunks on the pulleys, so it can't hurt.
If you still have a squeak, at least you'll know what it's not!

Honestly, I'd be surprised if the squeak went away. But, that kind of pulley crud bothers me, I like clean stuff.
Reading your previous post, you might not have a belt squeal. It might be an idler bearing, or even your alternator even though it's fairly new.
When you replaced the tensioners, did you replace the pulleys too?

yeah still squeaking but it looks cleaner. =]

but isn't it true that if you have a bearing problem the squeak would continue squeaking when you put water or belt dressing on it? putting water or belt dressing on the belt helps it grab.

Were you pouring it on like a bucket (what my mind saw), or were you keeping it more localized to be only on the belt?

Have you fed the chipmunks lately?
Do any of the pulleys feel loose, any brackets got tweaked, anything to cause a belt tracking problem?
I love the Gatorback belts too, never had a squeaker.

tried them all. they all look ok. and they look pretty dead on. i have got a couple peoples opinion and they all say the same. i could bring it to a shop or somewhere where they measure them with the laser thing but i dunno.

the only thing slightly fishy is the alternator pulley squeaks lightly when i spin it.

And that shouldn't be squeaking. Look at the fins on the alternator fan, make sure none are tweaked and dragging on the case.
Those'll squeak like a summmabeach if any are dragging.
