Default Spark plug wires getting wet from heavy rain.

It rained very heavy the other day, and my spark plug wires got wet and caused my car to run very weird and rough. Made it hard to shift and very rough acceleration. After the spark plug wires dried and were put back on, the car returned to normal operation.

How can I prevent this from happening again?

new wires. could try some electical grease on the ends. sometimes water can let the spark ground along the side of the plug.

If water is causing issues, I would replace the wires with a quality set.

alright thanks guys, I'll buy some new ones this payday and just wait until it rains again to see if it works. thankfully it doesn't sound like a bigger problem.
