Smoother shifting when I romp on it.
So my WS6 is my first manual and while I haven't really been driving one for the longest time I'm fairly decent behind the wheel of one. One thing I have noticed about the car is that when I try to be gentle with it, my shifts are occasionally just a bit rough, sometimes just have one of those days if you know what I mean. The one thing I have noticed that when I get on it a bit, not necessarily opening it up just kicking it a bit in the ***, the shifting is smooth and crisp despite that I'm letting the clutch out quicker and rougher on the gas. I don't have any real complaints here, more curious than anything. Do these cars respond better to a little punishment and higher RPM's because that's what they're built for or do I need to smooth out just a bit more? The only problem I really feel is a slight hop going from 1st to 2nd when I'm trying to baby it, almost like you're just a little off on the timing with the clutch work. Anyway, just wondered if it's me or if the car's sensitive.
No, someone suggested I try that and it made it worse. Like I said, it's nothing bad and I only do it once in a while. I just seem to be a smoother driver when I'm driving more aggressively, probably just is me.
No, nothing is wrong no grinding. It's just me I guess, have one of those days now and then. Just got home from running some errands today and I was smooth as silk the entire time. I think it has to do with the new combat boots I'm wearing, thicker than my last pair and it makes ita bit hard to feel exactly where the pedal is.
Yeah I noticed the same with my RS, much easier to shift while kicking it. I'm also fairly new to the standard but I know what your saying.. not really sure why or what causes it.
