I didn't flush it like I had said I was, I think I found the leak. I jacked it up and was underneath and saw a drip coming from behind the lower right pulley not on the hose. I couldn't see it too well cos of the position but I stuck my hand there and it was wet but the hose was dry. I think I may have it take it to a shop tho i cant afford to right now

 

ok, so problem solved..the leak got worse. I ended up going to the shop and two elbows off the intake manifold needed replacing

 

well on my 3.4 theres a rubber cap on that port right below the radiator cap. it tends to crack over the years. not sure what model you have. that still doesn't solve the problem in my opinion. esp. you saying everything looks dry. it would be all over the inside of the hood. have you checked the hoses to the heater core. any leaking on the firewall. are you getting good heat from your vents is your passenger side carpet wet.. white smoke out the exhaust(unusual amount) does the car run temp on the high side. check behind the oil pan and converter shield for rear seal failure. back if the lower intake manifold for gasket failure. is the rtv still good back there. just a couple of thoughts

Isn't the DEXCOOL known for eating mainfold gaskets? or is that just on the newer stuff? I had to replace the head gasket on a 06 Equinox and was told the orange stuff contributed to the problem.
