Should I make homemade wood car ramps then.
#23
I have both home made wood ramps and some plastic rhino ramps. The home made ones are nice because they arent as steep to drive up. The rhinos have rubber anti slide grips but the still slide.
Ramps will work better as trying to get a jack under the front of these cars is a pain unless you have a low profile jack but those cost a few hundred $$$.

do you have the tools needed to make them? all you need for lumber is 2 12' 2x10's thats about $10 worth of lumber. plus a circular saw and some 3" nails or 3" screws. for some of the cuts your going to need your dad to help.

I know how to make them and all that but people were trying to get me away from then on the previous pages Idk why but basically they said I mise well get car ramps because they will be better for bigger repairs which Is understandable because I wouldnt want a set of wood ramps and normal ones but Idk.

I was going to buy a Jack stand set but the thing about the ramp I think the homemade ones might work better and like people said they wont have sides like a normal ramp although I could make sides. But people were saying the steel ones are better. I dont care If the wood ones are more hard to store or heavier I wanna know If they will be better then the steel ones. But then people said that they wont get the car high enough for any repairs other then basic things so thats what made me think about getting a steel set Instead but Idk then.

Lol. Wood ones are nicer as you can make the angle lower so you don't scrape your bumper up. You can easily put sides on your wood ramps. Steel ramps don't have sides. It's really up to your budget.
