Default Shifter Advice

My WS6 still has the original hurst shifter in it and am thinking about replacing it with a hurst competition, anyone have any expierience with it? It doesnt seem that many people with f-bodies change the shifters, with 5.0 mustangs that is the first thing to go for everyone pretty much.

A shorter stick is a common mod, but maybe Hursts dont apply.
I bought a ProForm shortshift from Northern for $86 shipped, but I replaced my OEM shifter.

I had a hurst competition shifter and it kept messing up my trans bushing (where the shifter drops down into the plastic bushing on the shift lever). It seemed shorter on the underside than the b&m ripper I replaced it with. No problems since I shifted to the b&m either.
